Work continues on the new project. What was originally planned to be a smaller book almost immediately proved to be just the opposite. At over 30,000 words now, it is still introducing the tangle of events that are the main mystery.

Taking it carefully, rewriting chapters, and focusing more on character development to relay the tension involved in solving the mystery is fun but a lot of work.

I’d like to give an estimate of when the first draft will be done, but that would not be fair to the readers or to me. It’s already October, and the earlier projected finish by year-end seems unrealistic. It all depends on how much time I get to work on it, how smoothly it goes, etc. Then, until the first draft is done there is no knowing how much rewriting will take place on the second and maybe third draft.
