I decided to file the latest project and take a break. After as many hours of thinking about the project as I would have been doing the writing, I identified why I had lost interest in continuing to work on the novel. So, I’ve been at it again. 20,000 words were cut from the current project. What remains has some changes. A freshness is back, and it is time to try again. It will mostly have the same characters and setting but a slightly different theme.

Sometimes, being willing to embrace change can make all the difference.
